Not too long ago I did a beer trade with Brad of Brad's Brew of more commonly known as Brews UnderReview. One of the beers that he sent was his home brewed Violated Pale Ale. Violated Pale Ale is an American Pale Ale designed to be a flavorful, thirst quenching, session strength brew. Sounds darn good to me. Anyway, enough prose, enjoy the video. My written review and report card follows: Violated Pale Ale WRITTEN REVIEW: A - Violated Pale Ale poured a hazy light dark orange color with a quickly forming a 2 finger head of tight off-white bubbles. As the head receded plenty of glass lacing was left behind but only very minimal alcohol legs were observed. S - Pine, citrus, pineapple with a tough of pine and herbal dankness rounded out by sweet malt. T - Follows the nose to a ( T ) with flavors of pine, citrus, pineapple with herbal dankness playing along side the other flavors. This is all rounded out by sweet malt and just enough bitterness to bring balance. The alcohol is totally hidden in this brew. M - Good carbonation with a medium-thin body and no detectable alcohol. Quite easy to drink the glass from top to bottom with a semi-dry finish. O - Violated Pale Ale is a very well done take on a session strength APA. For what it is, it packs well developed and rounded flavors with spot on carbonation making it super easy to drink. The alcohol is totally hidden in this brew and Violated Pale Ale Sparkle & has a better flavor profile then many of the commercial session strength brews I have recently tried. Great job Brad.
