First of all, thanks so much for watching this. I designed them because I wanted to get the absolute most out of my Sony camera and with S-Log’s 14 stops of dynamic range, large sensor sizes and a tonne of other great features, they are cameras that can deliver incredibly cinematic imagery, when you know how to use them.Recenly i have made a music video of Distance by Meera Desai where i used those three luts. I hope you will like this.I have designed 3 luts for music videos and short films. 1) Recommended Camera Settings: The LUTs come with S-Log2, S-Log3 and S-Log2 Sgamut3cine versions. For the Slog3 Versions: These are designed for use with standard S-Log3 (S-Log3+Sgamut3.cine). For the Slog2 Versions: These are designed for use with Picture Profile 7, (S-Log2+Sgamut) 2) If You Don’t Have a Monitor, Try Zebras Over Histogram I find if I ever do shoot without a monitor, my saving grace is using Zebras to nail my skintones! When I used to own an old A7s, I would set the zebras at 70 and then try get my brightest skintones to sit at 70 and then bring down the exposure a touch so they would sit at around 60ire - and I’d usually be very happy with the result - but experiment and do some tests and see what works for you and what aesthetic you like. Most of the time I wouldn’t go below 50IRE or above 65IRE for skin tone highlights, but there are always exceptions! immersive and what filmmaker doesn’t want their audience immersed as much as possible! These LUTs have been designed to emulate and reproduce the roll off and fall off of Film and Red & bmpc in your Sony footage, which will hopefully help you stand out and make the most cinematic and engaging work you can!
