Trust & Provision If you're like me, maybe you get worried about job status or the economy, and it's so easy to try and strengthen yourself in the assurance that you have money saved or a job right now. But that's not where our peace is supposed to come from. I'm diving into 1 Timothy 6:17 today, which teaches us not to trust in money, but to trust in God. We need to remember that God is the constant, predictable foundation, and He richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment! I talk about the key realization that your job is just the channel through which God sends provision but He is always the ultimate source. When we remember that, we find a peace that no layoff or recession can shake. I hope this helps you put your trust in the faithfulness of God today! What we cover in this reflection: Why it's easier to trust God when you have less, but why you need to trust Him even when you have more. Understanding that money is fickle, but God's faithfulness is solid. How knowing God is the Source frees you from being attached to your money or your job title. An encouraging note on how God provides for our enjoyment, too!
