Originally constructed in 1911—with additions in 1936 and 1947—this industrial landmark once sat at the center of Sacramento’s manufacturing corridor. Today, it’s being reimagined into a 132-unit market-rate residential community, complete with office space, restaurant/bar areas, and a 24,800 SF subterranean mini-storage facility. While seismic upgrades weren’t required by code, the project team voluntarily implemented structural improvements to enhance resilience and long-term safety. These included reinforcing diaphragm connections and strengthening shear walls with shotcrete infill—demonstrating a commitment to both preservation and performance.
