Deniz is a wonderful musician and he was very accessible for questions and help in understanding the tuning and how to get the most from this drum. The more I play it the more I like it. Since I filmed this video I have tried three scales and so far my favorite is the Leap of Faith. He provides a handy booklet with a ton of scales to try.
