(Progress Rail Engine Bonus Clip at end of video). I caught two CNRY freight trains at Hillside Illinois. The first was a eastbound hopper train (fully loaded). The other was a empty ethanol train going west. I recorded these clips just west of the Wolf Road grade crossing at Hillside. The rails are the Canadian National Railway's Freeport Sub and their rail yard in Cicero is about six miles to the east. I caught the first train by noticing that the Wolf Road signal was red. I waited for a while and turned on the scanner. Radio traffic told me that the eastbound would soon arrive. There is a work zone at the Tri-state Tollway bridge and CN Dispatch needs to give clearance before the trains can come through. I also heard the Dispatcher talking to another train and realized that there was a westbound train ready to go as soon as the hopper train got to the yard. I waited around and that's how I got to catch the Metra. The bonus clip is also on this same track but a few miles to the west at Elmhurst. I had been given a heads-up that the Progress Rail engine was coming but I was late in getting to the tracks. This is a short clip but worthy of bonus status. Also!
