51 | Is it An Islamic Requirement For a Muslim to Forgive a Narcissist?

You will know by now from my previous podcasts that narcissists have a disorder in which they themselves are victims to their own childhood traumas, that made most of them problematic and abusive adults. However, even if someone empathic understands and is compassionate with this, it doesn’t mean that the abuse that a narcissist inflicts on others is excusable and justifiable. Some narcissists inflict so much pain that even the strongest of empaths will struggle to find compassion and forgiveness for them. Many people are spiritually abused by scholars, imams and preachers into believing that God will not forgive them if they don’t forgive their abusers. This leads them to believe that they won’t receive God’s mercy, as a result of being unable to find it in their broken hearts to forgive those who made their lives a living hell and it causes a spiritual and mental health crisis. So, are we obligated as Muslims to forgive narcissists because they have a disorder and because they are our Muslim brothers and sisters? Listen to the full podcast to find out.
