Hello Wastelanders! Vlad's got some AWESOME things to show you using the Catwalks in Fallout 76. The tricks include EASY Floating Camps, Snapping Walks DOWNWARD, and a Nifty Fire Escape! I haven't seen these tricks anywhere else, so I'm excited to share these with you! I start things off by going over the snap points for placing the catwalks. Gotta know the basics. From there I show you how you can get a set of floating stairs using the catwalks. Moving on, I demonstrate adding stairs next to a wall. This is fairly simple to achieve with the catwalks due to the stair snap point to them. The stairs will not snap in place with a foundation underneath when using this method, so it has its limitations. Next is where we really see the magic. A quick blueprint allows you to place a set of stairs and catwalk anywhere you please. That's right in the air, sinking into the ground. This will allow you to easily build a floating camp just about anywhere. Next I demonstrate how to use the wall snap point on the catwalks as a way to build downward. This trick is perfect for aligning lower foundations when building on a slope. We used to be able to do this using roofs, but that was patched out of the game. Lastly I demonstrate how to use the catwalks and a combination of the tricks I showed to build a Fire Escape on the side of your camp building. This is perfect for reaching the roof without putting stairs inside your building or making a long ramp that looks unsupported. I'm really happy with the way this turned out. I've been wanting to build a fire escape style set of stairs for a while, and this hits the nail right on the head.
