1979 Ford F-100 Manual Choke Conversion

The coil for the choke is broken so I've decided to swap to a manual choke. In this video I use my dad's old leatherman type tool to take the carb apart and "upgrade" to a manual choke. I'm not sure about the gasket that was suppose to go on the original, there's also a small plate that I'm not sure if it's suppose to go back in or not. I'm waiting for confirmation bc who want's to take this apart and redo it all again? As an update, I did get the smog parts out from under the carb. wound up having to cut the pipe instead of taking it off bc I honestly got tired of dealing with it. Lol. Waiting on covers for all the ports that will now be issues lol. I think I'll be keeping an eye out for cheap carbs that I can practice rebuilding and make videos of.
