They have seen him angry, agitated, serious and happy. But a new side to the Russian President has recently been revealed - his sweet side. This is not the real Putin, but one of two chocolate portraits of the head of state made by Russian luxury chocolate makers Konfael. Each one is made from a 1.5 kilogram slab of solid white chocolate, with other types of chocolate painted on top to create a realistic portrait. Fruit juices have been used for colouring - his lips are painted with strawberry juice, his tie with blueberry. The portraits are the latest addition to an already dizzying array of Putin paraphernalia available in the Russian capital. From tea towels to rugs, the President's face appears on a range of collectable items. But only now is it possible to take a bite out of the President's face. At seven hundred dollars each, these portraits are not affordable for the average chocolate buyer. And with a shelf life of just one year, their makers are afraid they won't be sold. One Konafel customer came up with a possible solution - give it to the man himself and see what he does with it.
