This mansion is a hotel now operated by WBTDC. This mansion and the estate are surrounded by the Kalimpong contentment and was earlier known as Singamari Tourist lodge. It’s 50 Kms from Darjeeling and 3 Kms from Kalimpong main city. Have you ever stayed in a hotel which is also believed to be a haunted place? If not then here is your opportunity to plan a trip to Morgan House, a luxurious mansion with surreal surroundings, nothing can give you more thrill than staying amidst the heavenly beauty and unveiling mysterious places. The staff and service are recommendable, our host Manager Sir is quite friendly. He told us that this beautiful ivy covered the entire building changes it’s colour three times in accordance with the different seasons. Green in monsoons, red in Sept-Oct and in winter it turns into grey type of colour. Adjacent to the Morgan House there is a coffee-n-snacks bar run by Amy officers. You can hold a cup of piping hot coffee and feast your eyes on the mesmerising green surroundings in golf course. One of the best mountain range we enjoyed from this beautiful Army golf course which is not allowed to enter for civilians and we were not aware of this and lucky to catch some glimpses of this panoramic landscapes and relaxing atmosphere.
