Our 2020 in 60 seconds We started as we meant to go on and in January urged you to RESET, REFLECT, REFRESH and we held a wellness day on our parade with Poke, fitness classes, raw foods, and Turmeric lattes. A great day with a great community. We also had water colourist and urban sketcher Faith display her works including this gorgeous water colour of our shop. In February we celebrated 1 year of our spoken word event BRL with a special birthday event. There was a lot of beer, badges, espresso martins and cake! We got on board with our friend Sams Kenayan coffee initiative and in March held our first ever high chai event. Johnny Chops boggled our brains with his bizarre art and his awesome Columbo impressions. Then we locked down for a few months but we kept busy… We made 3 coffee making video tutorials, personally delivered over 400 bags of coffee, gave away 13 bags of coffee and held 8 BRLivestreams. In May we started serving sushi via uber eats. In June We turned 3! We did some magic, gave away more coffee and asked you to like, comment and share for a chance to win a prototype Stantons tshirts. We also reopened for takeaway coffee and started brewing cold brew! In July we learnt the art of screen printing and by August officially launched our Stantons merch with an online store and a promo vid of us on the rooftop of Stantons. We became models 😉 As September rolled in we added sweatshirts to our clothing collection and had a tiger painted on our window. In October we ramped up our Japanese food offering and started serving Ramen, Godzilla was snapped outside our shop, we got abducted by aliens and moved to Mars. In November we returned, continued to serve Ramen, Sushi and Coffee until the end of the year. So what has 2020 taught us? Life is unpredictable so prepare to swerve when things are thrown your way Friends and family are invaluable 60 seconds was not enough for this video. Here’s to a happier, healthier and much better 2021 when normal life resumes. It’s coming, just you wait.
