Europe Trip - Day 7 - Bruges to Amsterdam Wrapping up our short stay in Bruges, we took the chance to walk into town for some breakfast of champions - The Belgian Waffle. Very rich and delicious and amazing little watery called Chez Albert. Top notch. Then it was on the train to Brussels for an hour layover. The station here has Tin Tin artwork all over which was cool. Then a 2hr train ride to Amsterdam. After figuring out the ticketing system we trammed it to the hotel and then went for a stroll along the canals to find some dinner. I had already researched this excellent restaurant called Cafe de Klos. We were lucky to get a seat as it was packed, but with good reason. The food was sensational. The best smokey ribs I’ve ever had, hands down. (Although they didn’t agree with me a few hours later. Ha ha). Service was slow as they had two staff off sick, but a couple of pints of Amstel helped us through and we enjoyed watching the very unique crowds wander past the window. Then a nice walk home for an early night, just taking in this unique and diverse city. Ready to explore the next day. Enjoy. :)
