Let’s face it, the moment there are two people working, living, or in dynamic with each other there are bound to be problems simply because we are different from each other and have different perspectives to the same event. Here’s a truth for you, no one is perfect. We have even adapted this into business models called ‘human error’. Even our computers can have problems because they are designed by humans. The issue is that if we know we are not perfect, and know for a fact that we are bound to make mistakes, why don’t we account for them? If you have ever baked muffins or cake before, you would know that you don’t fill the baking pan full of batter, otherwise as the flour rises it will overflow and you’ll be left with a mess in your oven to clean. What you do is fill the baking pan ¼-½ full, to allow for the flour and batter to rise. You know that flour raises when baked and so you take precautions to make sure you don’t overfill. Likewise, if we know that we are not perfect and the people in our lives are not perfect, why do we continually fill up our expectations for them to be perfect? Then when a mistake does happen we are left with an emotional mess to clean up. Why don’t we leave enough buffer space for relationship mistakes and error? More videos to follow on this topic!
