Things To Do In Munnar In Three Days - Tea Estates, Sunrise, Food, Stay, Cost and More

Hey guys, it’s been a moment but here we are back with another video exploring another city of our Incredible India. This time we explored God’s own country - Kerala and this is the first episode of the series. We had to start with the most prettiest and now our favourite hill station - Munnar. Here is how we spent three days here: There are total four directions to explore in Munnar - Towards Kochi, Towards Top Station, Towards Thekkady and Towards Coimbatore. While coming to Munnar from Kochi you can visit Cheeyapara Waterfall, Do ziplining activity, visit chocolate factory and if you have time then you can take small detour and visit Athirapally waterfall. Day 1 - Top Station Direction: We started our first day with the highest point of Munnar and that is Top station. As the name suggest, it was the top most station of Kunadala valley railways which was the first ever monorail railway system in India. Time: 5:00 AM to 8:00 PMNo Entry Fees From there we had local lunch on the way. Which was simply delicious. After that we went to Matupetty Dam and Echo Point. Here you can enjoy the views and do some adventure activities like Kayaking, Boating, etc. Time: 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM Entry Fees: INR 30 From there we went to Macofa chocolate factory. Here you can see the whole process of how exactly the chocolate is made and you can even do the tasting Time: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM No Entry Fees Ended our first day with the cultural programme of local folk dance forms and marital art form Kalaripayattu. Time: 4:30 PM onwardsEntry Fees: INR 500 Day 2 - Towards Thekkady Direction: On this day we started our day really really early around 3 am in the morning to experience sunrise at Kolukkumalai peak. It was out of the world experience. You have to leave from Munnar between 3-3:30 am and first reach Suryanelli which is the base village and fromt there take a 4x4 jeep to reach at the peak. It was an amazing experience. While coming back we stopped at Kolukkumalai tea estate which is the highest tea estate in the entire world, you can even visit their tea factory. From there we went to Chinnakanal waterfall, which do not require any hike or trek.No Entry Fees. After that we went to Lockhart gap view, from this view point you get a breathtaking view of lockhart tea estate. No Entry Fees Lastly we went to Lockhart Tea Factory to see the tea making process. Also, this is the first ever tea factory to be established in Kerala.Time: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Entry Fees: INR 200 Day 3 - Towards Coimbatore Direction: This was our last day in Munnar and we started this day with Eravikulam national park. This is the part of shola forest and people come here to see Nilgiri Tahrs. It’s a species of goat which is endangered and half of the population of this Mountain goat is in this national park. Time: 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM Entry Fees: INR 200 And our last stop of Munnar was the second highest peak of India - Anamudi View Point. Highest peak of the great and ancient Shahyadri Mountain Range.
