Highstones - but not the High Stones on Howden Edge! In this walk I go searching for some locations of historic interest near Crowden in the Longdendale Valley. After locating the sites of a Roman Fortlet and a ruined farm, I attempt to reach my next objective. Unfortunately I struggle to get into / across Access Land due to high walls and barbed wire fences 🙁. I make it up to High Stone Rocks and get amazing views of the surrounding area.
