Trip to Malana Village | World's Oldest Democracy | Malana Cream in Parvati Valley

This video describes our Trip to Malana Village which is in Himachal Pradesh. This ancient village in the Parvati Valley is believed to be the oldest democracy in the world. Malana is famous for its superior Hashish quality which makes Malana Cream. This place has a unique culture with scenic beauty. The peaks of Chanderkhani and Deo Tibba shadow the village. It is situated on a remote plateau by the side of the torrential Malana river, at a height of 2,652 metres (8,701 ft) above sea level. Malana has its own lifestyle and social structure and people are strict in following their customs. We started our trip from Chandigarh and reached Bhuntar. From Bhuntar we proceeded to Malana village and were impressed by its architecture. All the houses in the village had a similar design which makes it more attractive. We trekked across the whole village, interacted with the locals and explored its amazing beauty. We stayed there at the Mountain View Restaurant, its owner was a nice man and helped us explore the village better. We stayed there that night and left for Kasol the following day. The Malanis consider themselves to be the descendants of Alexander the Great. Outsiders are not allowed to touch the temple building in the village. The people of the village are very friendly but are told to maintain distance from the outsiders. This incredible place in the Parvati Valley is a destination worth traversing!
