This is a series on building the DR-107 One Design (IMAC) r/c aircraft from the Matt Mrdeza plan. This plan was downloaded from outerzone.co.uk. This is the first of a two-part series on construction of the belly pan. As part of the belly pan, the rear wing hold-down mount is added. The belly pan sides are added. Before adding the top sheeting, the rear wing mounting blocks are added and drilled and tapped for 6mm nylon bolts. Balsa pads are added to the ply plate to provide support for the plate as the wing is secured to the fuselage. The technique of using baking soda and ca to fill small gaps is shown for the belly pan sides. The belly pan top sheeting is added and a quick method of adding a perfectly formed center former is shown. 00:00 Intro and overview of belly pan 01:32 Adding the rear wing hold-down mounting plate 04:27 Constructing sides of belly pan 06:24 Adding rear wing fuselage mounting blocks 08:58 Drilling and tapping mounting block for bolts 11:39 Adding ply plate-to-mounting block pads 12:24 Using baking soda and CA to fill gaps 16:24 Adding the belly pan sheeting with center former
