San Ysidro Land Port of Entry- 57 Hour Closure Time Lapse
In September 2017, GSA conducted a 57 hour closure of the southbound lanes at the San Ysidro Land Port of Entry to continue Phase 3 of its expansion and modernization project. This time lapse video shows the full weekend of construction at the world's busiest land border crossing near San Diego. Following construction, GSA successfully reopened the port to southbound vehicle traffic a full 12 hours earlier than anticipated and was also able to provide the traveling public an additional lane leading into Mexico.
