Back to the Strip: Fallout New Vegas in the Mojave Wasteland! Going all the way back to 2011 with the GOTY edition — I was finally old enough to really dive in and followed Tobuscus step-by-step just to make it past Goodsprings and Primm for the first time. That journey across the Mojave to the shining, polished, neon-drenched city of New Vegas absolutely blew my mind. The idea that you could just throw on a faction’s outfit and actually join them (NCR, Legion, House… whatever), the Alpha and Matriarch Deathclaws lurking in the quarry, those nightmare Cazadores everywhere, and of course the iconic start with “Ain’t That a Kick in the Head” leading straight into “Come Fly with Me” — helping the Bright Followers and watching that rocket launch in real time while I already had Boone as my second companion and my own apartment in Novac. That was the moment it all clicked. I’ve been a die-hard Fallout fan ever since Fallout 3 dropped, playing through every game in the series and loving (almost) every minute. This is where the factions, the Strip, and that courier story hooked me for life — the game that turned me into a true wasteland wanderer with a platinum chip in my pocket. Now, years later, I’m diving back in for a fresh playthrough on stream. Expect classic Mojave exploration, huge faction choices, chaotic combat against Deathclaws and Cazador swarms, and me geeking out over every little detail I missed as a kid: Raul’s perfect gear repairs, ED-E beeping away as my absolute favorite, the secret Brotherhood bunker under Tabitha’s Black Mountain, the pure terror of the Sierra Madre, and those red-rock tribal vibes in Honest Hearts that felt like a love letter to Fallout 2. Whether you’re a veteran Courier or new to the Mojave, come hang out as we chase the Platinum Chip, scavenge for caps, pick sides (or betray everyone), and try not to die to too many radscorpions or powder gangers.
