Authorities estimate some 50,000 people marched through the streets to protest against new Covid-19 restrictions and the implementation of a vaccine pass limiting access to certain activities and public spaces. In recent weeks, Europe has seen protests throughout the region as it begins implementing vaccine passports and other requirements in hopes of ending the coronavirus pandemic. The US saw a similar protest in Washington DC on January 23, as thousands protested against the newly implemented mask and vaccine mandates.
