Hi, I'm Doctor Nassif answering some questions on YouTube that were sent into us. This question is: Is it better to use the same surgeon who did my first rhinoplasty for my revision rhinoplasty? Good question, great question. Most of the surgeries I get for revisions are the third, because the first time they have the doctor do it they think they're going to go back and get a better result, and they go back to the second doctor and usually it's worse. If it's a small tweak, I'm fine with that, but in general ... In my hands, since I'm a revision rhinoplasty specialist, I always want my patients to come back to me. However, if the doctor is really not that experienced in rhinoplasty and fixing these touch ups, then I recommend you go to a specialist. This is kind of one of those scenarios where you have to have that comfort level. Say okay, my nose turned out poorly, bad, and that happens to all of us. If you operate, every doctor's going to have issues and complications and have their own revisions. We all do, including me. Most of the times I'm going to see those patients and talk about their revision and do it for them. But again, I know what I'm doing and sometimes the healing is not proper, or just sometimes we don't get a home run. It's something we have to weight the pros and consequences of each. Thanks.
