A second day of monsoon storms prompts flash flood warnings and advisories all across central and northern Colorado. This a dramatic turn around from a week ago where scorching temperatures and extremely dry conditions were fueling numerous destructive wildfires. Now, excessive rains are knocking out the fire danger, but are turning attention to the continued flood threat. Video package shot in west Denver in Wheat Ridge, Colorado along Kipling Street just south of I-70. Doppler radar estimates that nearly 1.5" of rain fell within an hour in this area leading to flooding of streets all over the area. **humorous shot at 1:05 when a lightning strike hits a light pole behind the chaser (off-camera) and very loud thunder startles photographer. First scenes are establishing shots as the storm moves into the area from the south. Various shots of the clouds and wind as the storm moves in. Transitions to POV shots as chaser approaches the flood scene along Kipling near I-70 in Wheat Ridge. Following shots of traffic navigating the nearly foot of water across Kipling during and toward the end of the deluge. A flood advisory and flash flood watch were in effect for west Denver during the time of the storm. To license this footage, visit http://www.StormChasingVideo.com
