Today, we will examine the area of the Imperial Fora—how it looks today and how it appeared in antiquity, in the 4th century CE. We will also take a closer look at how the famous street, Via dei Fori Imperiali, crosses this district. This has gained new relevance, as work is currently underway to complete the dismantling of the remains of Via Alessandrina. In this video, I will show you the five Imperial Fora as they currently appear in my project. The 3D reconstruction work is not yet complete - new details and corrections will be added. Nevertheless, the main part of the work is done, allowing us to get an idea of what this place looked like in antiquity. For each forum, I will show its present-day appearance, its integration with the section of Via dei Fori Imperiali, and its ancient appearance. 0:00 Introduction, general aerial 'Now and Then' views 1:55 Fly over Forums from east to west 3:15 Forum of Caesar 5:34 Forum of Augustus 7:23 Forum of Peace 9:42 Forum of Nerva 11:01 Forum of Trajan 14:05 Fly over Forums from west to east 16:05 View from the roof of the Curia Julia "HISTORY IN 3D" creative team: Donate on Patreon: / historyin3d Support us with one-off payment: https://ko-fi.com/historyin3d Follow us: Website: https://relivehistoryin3d.com Facebook: / romein3d Instagram: / historyin3d Music: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License for use of the track Egmont Overture Finale (artist: Kevin MacLeod): https://creativecommons.org/licenses/...
