Welcome back! Ever wondered how Balaton looks like when there is a huge festival happening? This year I headed there just for the famous wine festival spanning for a month where you can try all kinds of wine produced in the Balaton region! I tried all the ones I wanted and had some food as well - the so called 'zsíros kenyér' which is a slice of bread with some kind of lard on it (pork, duck, etc.) topped with onions and paprika powder. There are also other toppings like roasted eggplant dip on top of bread, just to name a few. Amazing wine, prosecco, alcohol you can buy as much as you want and the glass you use is on a loan, you buy the glass which then you take with you to the different stalls to refill your glass with any wine you want, then you can get the money back for the loaned glass. So much fun! Ah yeah, ignore those pesky little flying things (lake flyes), they don't bite or drink your blood, they just appear.
