So with my only off-road attempt on the Hyper being rubbish and dropping it, I decided I needed to do some proper off road training and learn on someone else's bike so I don't wreck my one when the time comes. The Yamaha Tenere 700 Experience in Wales was epic. Grabbed a few mates and we did the whole day breaking into two groups to tackle easy/hard routes - yeah I did the hard ones and dropped the bike a few times.. these 700's are proper top end heavy (200kg same weight as a Hyper). I kept stalling it.. I was using the brakes all wrong.. I didn't use the engine braking on descents.. I had to keep remembering to lean opposite way.. staying seated gives more grip in tricky conditions. Anyway.. hope you at least enjoyed the first minute long intro!
