It's almost Halloween! I don't know about you guys, but here where I live everything on TV is Halloween themed. Channels ramp up the Halloween-themed TV show episodes and all the scary movies, and play them back-to-back. When you think of slasher movies, you think of a few characters in particular that have now become classics of the scary movie genre. Michael Myers from Halloween, Leatherface from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, Ghostface from Scream, Chucky the doll... and of course, and probaby the most badass of them all, FREDDY KRUEGER from A Nightmare on Elm Street. (Isn't it funny that when it comes to these slasher flicks, you remember the villains the most?) I decided to do a tutorial on FREDDY KRUEGER because I couldn't wait to draw the little details that make his face so grotesque and disgusting. In this episode I do my best to show you how to individually create these lines and spots and shaded areas -- something you can then apply to other characters with similarly-detailed faces, like zombies, wrinkly, old people, monsters, Wade Wilson, you name it. Happy drawing, Ramny DOWNLOAD THE FREDDY KRUEGER COLORING PAGE HERE: http://drawittoo.com/index.php/2016/1... CHARACTER BIO: "A family man on the surface, Frederick Charles "Freddy" Krueger was actually the serial killer known as the "Springwood Slasher". When he was caught and subsequently released on a technicality, the parents of his victims chased him to a shack out back of the power plant he once worked at and burned him alive. Rather than succumb to death, Krueger was offered the chance to continue his killing spree after death, becoming a Dream Demon that could enter his victims' dreams and kill them in the dream world, which would thus cause their death in the real world." Here's how I sort them out: 1. Is it current? (From a TV show or game that's currently popular, from a movie that's coming up or just released in the last few months, or from a current run in the comic books, etc.) 2. Is it a popular, mainstream character? (People who don't usually watch the show/movie, or read the comics, still know the character.) 3. Is there enough interest from my viewers? (I do keep a note of all suggestions made in the comments section.) 4. Is it a popular enough YouTube search? (I use a keyword tool to see how often people search for tutorials on characters, before I draw.) 5. Is it easy to do a tutorial on? (Some things are very difficult or time-consuming to do tutorials on.) 6. Have I done a tutorial of it already? (Since there are too many characters out there to draw, I try not to do the same character twice.) Since I get A TON of requests everyday, I ask all of you to please be patient with me as I can only do several tutorials per week.
