The door was still open to Israel as a nation then, being the remnant as he explains. Thus Israel restored signifies the remnant that will come in through the gospel, be the reinserted olive bramch along with the inserted Gentile branch. The reinserted branch is done by God very quickly. The insertion of the Gentile branch contains multitudes as against the small number of Israel's remnant. They become one olive tree, that of the gospel, with Jesus Christ as the root. He is the Root of David, Isaiah. When the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled, then the Lord Jesus will return to take His bride to heaven, 1 Cor.15:52; 1 Thes.4:15-18. The glorious bride is described in Revelation 21:10-17.
