Hosted by Glasgow Life & proudly sponsored by Peoples Ford, the Peoples Parkinson's Walking Football Festival was back in Glasgow at Toryglen Regional Football Centre. ⚽️ With over 40 different symptoms, Parkinson’s can be different for every individual with the condition. Around 153,000 people within the UK are living with Parkinson’s and it continues to be the fastest growing neurological condition in the world. Bringing our community together to help raise awareness of Parkinson’s and the benefits that physical activity, such as walking football, has for those living with Parkinson’s was what the festival was all about. With 12 teams from across the UK coming together at Toryglen, to compete for the winning title, the stands were full of the greatest (and loudest!) supporters, including special guests; Rose Reilly, Murdo Macleod, Billy Dodds, Shelley Kerr and Gordon Smith. 🏆 Community spirit, camaraderie and lots of laughs were on show all day long as you’ll see from our video below.
