Welcome to part eight of my Halo 2 Anniversary Legendary Guide! In this walkthrough, I'll cover some tips and strategies that helped me complete this mission on Legendary difficulty without dying. While meeting with the Prophets of Truth and Mercy, the Arbiter learns of his next assignment: retrieving the Index. Before reaching the Library, he must lower the barrier within the Sentinel Wall to allow reinforcements to pass through. Engaging forces through the Sentinel Wall, many of the targets players will encounter in the early going include, of course, Sentinels. While you'll have a window to fight alongside Grunts and Jackals, these troops will not last long, nor will they proceed into the next section of the wall upon initial contact with the Flood, that is, should they survive. Without an Energy Sword to dispose of the fallen Combat Forms, you must improvise should Infection Forms revive the husks. Shotgun rounds, Needler ammo, and grenades will have to do while treading through the darkened maze. The Human Combat Forms are quick and agile opponents, so practice landing headshots from a relatively safe distance when in doubt.
