On Board India's Fastest Train! 160 kmph Gatiman Express from Delhi to Agra!

Presenting to you a short compilation of a journey on board India's current fastest train - the Gatiman Express. In April 2019, I had visited Delhi and travelled from Delhi to Agra and back on this train. It was a dream come true for me to travel on the fastest train in the country. It hits a top speed of 160 kmph, so naturally I was very excited. Have a look as the train enters Delhi Hazrat Nizamuddin station, led by a Ghaziabad (GZB) WAP-5 locomotive (30020). I take some snaps on the platform before boarding the train. We depart bang on time at 08:10 am. After coming on the mainline we accelerate to about 100 kmph while passing Okhla. Soon later, the real acceleration begins, going faster and faster until we hit our target - 160 kmph! Watch as Asaoti and Palwal stations are ripped apart and then breakfast is served. Another small station - Chata - can also be seen in the video as we passed at high speed. At Mathura Junction, we slowed down to about 50 kmph and overtook the Taj Express. After Mathura we were back to full throttle and you can see the stations of Farah and Farah Town being blown away in a minute. We arrive at Agra Cantt at the right time - 09:50 am. I get off the train and after a short halt, it departs towards its destination - Jhansi. Opening the door to take videos at such high speed was not possible. So all the videos are through the glass of the window or the door. Hope you enjoy the run! Date of video: 16th April, 2019
