The Society holds regular meetings on the second Wednesday of each month. Our social hour begins at 7:00 PM, followed by our program at 7:30 PM. We meet at the Zilker Garden Center building, located at Barton Springs Road in Austin, Texas. We offer individual and family membership. This membership include lectures, demonstrations, slides and other material. The Austin Bonsai Society usually organizes several digging trips each year to collect native plant material, such as cedar elm and Ashe juniper. Visitors are always welcome! Eric is a bonsai artist, grower, photographer and teacher. He grew up in Boonville, California, among beautiful redwoods, oaks and buckeye trees. His interest in bonsai has lead him to explore the mountains of California, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, and Utah in search of wild and wonderful trees. Bonsai is an avenue for exploration of the natural world around us as much as it is an art form that captures the essence of trees. https://phutu.com/about/
