Kelis Drags Beyonce For Stealing Her Music Beyonce versus Kelis beef is officially heating up again. And it all started after Kelis threw shade at Beyonce's new Levis's ad. And if you know about Kelis, she's not the one to hold anything back. So, it's not about me being mad about Beyonce. Everyone's like a You're all sheep. And I'm talking to the people who are obsessed and blind just like like it's so dumb. It's so ignorant. Kelis just reignited her one-sided feud with Beyonce that's been simmering in the background for years. And it all started after a brand new Levis's ad dropped featuring Beyonce and actor Timothy. Now, what does this ad have to do with Kelly's? Well, Kelis recently moved to a farm in Kenya, and she's been sharing updates on social media about her new property. And in one video she shared earlier this month, she's seen walking around the farm wearing Levi's jeans. And the video was quickly flooded with comments from fans comparing Kelis to Beyonce with one fan writing, "Now this who should have represented the Levis's brand." And Kelis clearly agrees because she replied to the fan comment, tagged Levis's, and wrote, "Get it together." But you already know the beehive wasn't going to let this slide. They instantly pounced on Kelis, calling her a hater and saying she needs to let that grudge go because Beyonce is not worried about her. But see, if you've been following this drama from the start, you know this goes all the way back to the early 2000s when Kelis’ then husband Nas and Jay-Z were having their own legendary beef. And from time to time, Kelis would make these slick comments that fans interpreted as shade toward Beyonce. Meanwhile, Beyonce never mentioned Kelis publicly. But that doesn't mean that she wasn't paying attention and waiting for the right moment to get back at Kelis. And when she finally did, that's when Kelis went all the way off and accused Beyonce of stealing from other artists and writers. This happened after Beyonce released her album Renaissance in 2022 and sampled Kelis’ biggest hit, Milkshake, without giving her credit. And according to Kelis, the sampling part wasn't the issue. It was the fact that Beyonce didn't even bother to ask her, and she found out about it through social media. The reality is, okay, is that my real beef is not only with Beyonce, because at the end of the day, she sampled a record. She's copied me before. She's done it before. So have many other artists. It's fine. I don't care about that. The issue is is that not only do are we female artist, okay? Black female artists in an industry that we there's not that many of us, right? We've met each other, we know each other, we have mutual friends. It's not hard. She can contact, right? Ash Nico, who's what, 20, she's a young white girl. She reached out when she freaking like it's just common decency. And when one fan commented to say Beyonce and Kelis is a collab the world needs, Kelis clapped back, it's not a collab, it's theft. But Kelis went even further. And she hinted that Beyonce has a long track record of stealing songs and taking publishing rights from writers. I know what I own and what I don't own. I also know the lies that were told. I also know the things that were stolen. Publishing was stolen. People were swindled out of rights. It happens all the time, especially back then. So, it's not about me being mad about Beyonce. Everyone's like, "Ay you're old sheep and I'm talking to the people who are obsessed and blind just like like it's so dumb. It's so ignorant. It's so ignorant." And then Kelis shared another video on Instagram where she talked about bullies and gangsters in the music industry.
