The Dales Way - Day 2 - 18 05 21

Day 2 of my Dales Way Walk. Grassington to Oughtershaw - 18 miles. Absolutely beautiful walk and the scenery was amazing. There is a steady climb up the moor from Grassington, easy walking along the moor, then a track down to Kettlewell. After Kettlewell you follow the River Wharfe all the way to Beckermonds, so easy going. A bit of a climb initially on the road to Oughtershaw, but then it's back down again. The walk across the moor was very peaceful and relaxing and I didn't see anyone at all up there. Walking alongside the River Wharfe was an absolutely beautiful stretch, I really loved the scenery along there. Apart from a bit of rain while on top of the moor, the rest of the day was lovely sunshine, the best weather I encountered all week on my Dales Way walk. Really enjoyed this bit of the walk and the weather was perfect.
