Showed a quick assembly and called out any issues while putting the grill together. Reversed seared 2 really nice tomahawks to a perfect medium rare! This grill is awesome and a must have! The MasterKettle Grill Assembly: • The grill arrived packaged beautifully and every piece inside was packaged nice as well. • Assembly was not too bad and for me who usually takes twice as long to put things together, this was not too bad. I did make a few errors and had to redo one step, but overall not bad. • My first thoughts are this grill is amazing! They improved on an already great kettle by adding the cart and upgraded some of the parts that make the SNS Kettle great. The Tomahawk Cook: • Started with two 40 oz Tomahawk Ribeyes, Choice Cut • Salt brined on all sides of the Tomahawks and put in refrigerator for 24 hours. • Set up the SNS MasterKettle Grill direct and indirect cooking. • Lit the charcoal in the Slow N Sear to hold around 275F degrees. • Placed the two tomahawks on the indirect side until they reached about 80F degrees and then turned them over to promote even cooking until 115F and pulled them off. This step took about 1 hour. • Added some fresh charcoal and let this get super-hot. • Seared for 1 minute each side 2 times plus 30 seconds and removed them. • Set up for the ending and enjoyed 2 perfectly cooked tomahawks! Summary: The Tomahawk Ribeyes turned out perfect! The Slow and Sear MasterKettle Grill worked perfectly and would do these exactly the same next time.
