A few weeks before her death, I interviewed my Aunt Sissy about her life and about my work. She discussed me as a child (I was a liar), her five marriages and divorces, the church, Olivia Newton-John, the "Sordid Lives" character "Sissy", the shooting of her neighbor's goat -- and how my work was influenced by her colorful stories and beautiful life. Aunt Sissy contracted pneumonia a few days after this interview and we lost our dear Aunt Sissy. She died with a nicotine patch behind her ear! This is for Tammy, her sons, all my cousins, my brother, the "Sordid Lives" cast and all the fans, family and friends who loved my amazing Aunt Sissy!
