An insight into Josh and Daniel's collaborative process on a new film, featuring the first public performances of some of the songs written for it. Daniel Johns is a vocalist, composer, guitarist, pianist and producer, best known as frontman of Silverchair. He's the only person to win APRA's "Songwriter of the Year" award three times. Josh Wakely is a director, screenwriter and producer who's worked on a variety of film and television projects. ------------------- TEDxSydney 2011 took place on Saturday 28 May 2011 at CarriageWorks. Tens of thousands of people enjoyed the day: 800 in the theatre, over 1,000 via big screen simulcast in The Forum, up to 40,000 online via YouTube ... and up to 80,000 tuning in to ABC Radio National. It was a grand day. About TEDx, x = independently organised event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organised events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organised TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organised (subject to certain rules and regulations).
