This journey begins in Kaza, as we travel through the rugged landscapes of Spiti Valley toward the mysterious Gue Monastery, home to a 500–600-year-old naturally preserved mummy. This rare site, located close to the India–Tibet border, is one of the most fascinating and unexplained places in the Himalayas. From Gue, we continue to the peaceful Nako Village, situated at an altitude of around 3,662 meters in Kinnaur district. Surrounded by barren mountains, traditional Tibetan-style houses, and the serene Nako Lake, the village offers a glimpse into a slow, spiritual way of life deeply rooted in Tibetan culture. Our journey ends in Kalpa, nestled in the Sutlej Valley at 2,759 meters. As dawn breaks, we witness the breathtaking views of Kinnaur Kailash, along with apple orchards, ancient wooden homes, and the unique blend of Hindu and Buddhist traditions that define this region. Temples and monasteries stand side by side, reflecting the deep spiritual harmony of Kinnaur. This Spiti to Kinnaur road trip captures the raw beauty, silence, and cultural richness of the Himalayas — a perfect escape for travelers seeking offbeat destinations and soulful experiences. 📍 Route: Kaza → Gue Monastery → Nako Village → Kalpa
