I know, “another sculpin pattern !?”. Sculpin patterns are effective and work just about anywhere. This pattern when I started tying it, I was trying to keep it as simple as possible but, still have the movement I like in a sculpin pattern. Originally, I did not have a name for it That would come a while later. To make a long story short it involved a 3-year-old granddaughter, a meltdown, grandpa to the rescue, a sucker and a little girl watching grandpa tying a fly and asking questions about the fly and the materials used. In the end I felt it only fair to call it Elena’s Bunny Hop Sculpin.
