La Corvina è uno dei pesci più belli del Mar Mediterraneo. Questo pesce della famiglia Sciaenidae vive nei fondali rocciosi ricchi di insenature e anfratti. Si tratta di una specie notturna, anche se spesso di giorno la possiamo incontrare nelle vicinanze della propria tana insieme ad altri esemplari della propria taglia. Questo pesce purtroppo è sempre più raro nel Mar Mediterraneo, le cause sono sia la pesca indiscriminata da parte dei subacquei sia la sempre più crescente antropizzazione delle nostre coste che ne minaccia il suo habitat ideale.
