Since we haven't been inside a bar in over a year, we've craved the simple things: a sweaty dance party, the late-night-snack™ and even, EVEN well gin—don't @ us. To quench our thirst, we sipped on some cider, from our friends at Off Set, and made a savory bar nut snack mix that tastes fondly of Gardetto's. To us, the makings of a good savory bar nut are simple: use only your favorite nuts because this not the time to be dutiful, throw in something equally surprising and predictable (pretzels, Chex) and bake it with a salty seasoning that will coat your fingers. To prepare for this nut extravaganza, we frantically texted in the way you only do with your best friend, when you're excited by your mutual genius. We debated: do we use nutritional yeast? It must have pretzels. How salty? Paprika! Wow, mustard. And...should we...throw in cut up pepperoni sticks...? (This didn't make the final edit, but freak what you feel.)
