TRANSCRIPT: Good morning. Good morning I think one of the great joys of this job was getting to meet and getting to know our kids and hearing their stories. Welcome! Good morrow, good morrow, welcome, good folks. To hear and to see some of our kids who’ve grown up with really significant challenges and the things they’re achieving. Who’s going first? Alright. The strength and heart of a community is our ability to not just invest in today but to invest in the future. And that starts first and foremost with education. Three, two, one! And I think our vision of every child succeeds is a symbol of light and it’s our job to make sure that the darkness of inequity and of ignorance is banished. Come, my spade. We believe that all young people are born with potential and talent and they all come to school with dreams. And the things they’re achieving, the colleges they’re going to—to have those community leaders say it was their education in the Denver Public Schools that made it possible for them, just makes our jobs as educators so rewarding. Who do you play for? DPS! Who do you play for? DPS!
