#volcadrum #diy #techno #rave #tekno #dawless Another hard Tekno jam using a no-input mixer in order to distort the Korg Volca Drum. This time i also added a Digitech Synth Wah for extra color: the Volca Drum audio out go in the first channel of the mixer and the second in the Digitech that returns in another channel. I used an old-school method to distort the signal using only a mixer: saturating the first channel and then sending the signal to another channel to add a second stage of saturation. The analog drum machine signal goes into the first channel of the mixer. The Aux Send is plugged into the second channel, creating a feedback loop. I routed the Volca’s signal to the Aux Send so it could interact with the feedback and produce weird, distorted textures. I recorded the session straight into Ableton, then added a bit of delay, short reverb, and chorus to enrich the sound. Enjoy!
