Since 2024 i was thinking about to try Air China on a long haul flight. So me and my wife searched for possible destinations and prices. Living in Austria ment to fly from Vienna International Airport. This is what we found and booked: Vienna - Milan Malpensa - Chengdu - Bangkok return for around 600€ per Person in Economy Since we started collecting points and miles with Miles & More, we welcomed to change planes 2 times. Stop Over in Milan & Chengdu has been both under 3 hours, perfect for an Italian breakfast with a Capuccino and a chinese beef soup in Chengdu. We heard a lot of bad things about Air China, for sure its not a 5 star airline. But in the end, the food was okay, we felt safe and the staff was doing a very good job. Transferring in Chengdu has been interesting, we had to stand in line at least 3 times for at least 15 minutes each and we were asked 6 times for boarding pass and ID. Would we fly again with Air China? Yes definitly.... The pricetag on this was great and the A350 is a great plane. What about you?
