If you’re wondering why you haven’t been seeing Evening Grosbeaks at your feeders recently, I discovered that their population has declined by over 90% since the 1970s. A new initiative is being headed up by David Yeany, and they are asking anyone who sees an Evening Grosbeak with a band on its leg to report it to reportband.gov and email David Yeany directly: dyeany@paconserve.org.
