Episode 2 of the ultimate HARD ENDURO bike build! Subframe swap: I’m installing an aluminum subframe off of a 2018 KTM 300 xcw instead of the composite 2018 TE 300 subframe. I wanted to run the aluminum one instead of the composite one because they don’t break as easily (I know they bend) and they’re way cheaper to replace if they do get broken! They can also be repaired via welding which is super nice. Something I learned from someone in the comments on my last video: When you’ve got a freshly powder coated frame, you must re-torque your bolts again after the initial tightening. This is because the first tightening just compresses the powder coating and doesn’t allow the bolt to be tightened properly. Great info from Johnny Adams on my Facebook post!
