3 Days Cycling In The Algarve! Smash Fest With The Boys

With the weather at home absolutely shocking, me and my mate Matt escaped to the Algarve, Portugal, for three days of proper cycling. This time of year is perfect for a bit of pre-season fitness testing and getting the legs turning over. While we were out there, we met up with my good friend Paul and a bunch of local riders, and honestly — the group rides were class. On day two, we decided to throw in an FTP test, and it absolutely lit the legs up. I’m really happy with how the effort went, and it was a great early benchmark for the season ahead. The Algarve is an unreal place for road cycling: quiet roads, proper climbs, and the kind of scenery that just makes you want to ride all day. And of course, it felt great rolling around in my new team kit for the first time.
