Deep Well Pump - No Water - Air Volume Installed incorrectly

I had to look at this system because the home owner called without water. When I got there the tank was waterlogged and the pump was short cycling. The motor had overheated and turned off from running so much. I then immediately noticed the Air Volume control line was not installed in the correct port on the pump. This port it was installed in is for the pressure side of the pump and not suction. This will not allow the AVC to work correctly because it requires suction to operate at all. After moving the line to the correct port and draining the tank the problem was solved.
