A wild high-speed police chase through the Florida Keys ended after troopers used a PIT maneuver to stop a fleeing driver. On November 4, 2025, the Florida Highway Patrol assisted the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in pursuing a Range Rover along U.S. 1 (Overseas Highway) in Key Largo. The suspect fled at speeds exceeding 120 mph, driving recklessly on the shoulder and through traffic. During the pursuit, the suspect drove into Founders Park and crashed near the guardhouse but continued fleeing even after the vehicle’s right front tire detached, forcing the driver to continue on the rim.
