Visiting the twin "Tilba" heritage towns on the New South Wales south coast, driving

The historic twin towns of Tilba Tilba and Central Tilba are located at the base of Gulaga / Mount Dromedary on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia. Both towns have an interesting origin story, "Tilba Tilba" was settled by the Bate family, however a disagreement between two brothers lead to the creation of the now larger village of "Central Tilba". Gulaga / Mount Dromedary is an ex-active volcano that is responsible to much of the local geology, including the creation of the smaller peak "Najanuka / Little Dromedary". These mountains have very special significance to the local "Yuin" aboriginal people. Through the years the area has seen a gold rush as well as a healthy dairy industry develop, leading to establishment of the very first dairy co-operative in New South Wales. In this short drive we'll take a look at the towns and along the way I will attempt to provide you with some interesting facts in the form of text based commentary. NEW!
